About this Event
Opt Outside this November and join Virginia 52 Hike Challenge for a hike at Riverview Farm Park in Newport News. Take some time to slow down, escape, and connect with nature before the chaos of the holidays arrives. We will hike 3.5 miles (out and back) on the new James River Trail.
Thanks to a generous stipend from our friends at REI, we will have treats for a small social gathering after our hike back at the picnic shelter. Hopefully you can plan some extra time to join us!
When: Saturday, November 14, 2026 at 10:00 am. We will meet at a small shelter near the bathrooms for introductions and giveaways.
Skill Level: Easy and slow 3.5 miles. The trail is a mix of gravel, boardwalk, and asphalt.
Bring your water and dress for the weather. As always, please pack your 10 essentials for safety reasons!
