Discover glowing insects, plants & fungi through UV light
Step into the nighttime world and discover what reveals itself after dark. Using UV light, we’ll explore the trails and search for species that fluoresce and luminesce in unexpected ways.
We may encounter glowing plants, insects, fungi, minerals, rocks, and even animals—seeing familiar landscapes through an entirely different lens.
This is a guided night foray focused on curiosity, observation, and discovering the hidden world that comes alive under UV light.
Please note: Participants must be comfortable walking on trails with minimal lighting. UV lights will be used throughout the foray, while headlamps and flashlights may be used occasionally for navigation but will need to remain off for the majority of the walk.
Registration: $30 per person
