About this Event
🦋Considered the most beautiful college campus in the Southwest, the UTEP campus is landscaped with native flora of the Chihuahuan Desert and features thoughtfully designed public spaces inspired by Bhutanese architecture.
🏛️Join Daniel Carey Whalen and his team from the Centennial Museum, alongside representatives from UTEP Special Collections, as we explore why Tom Lea came to love UTEP’s campus and how he commemorated several of its significant milestones through his art.
🖼️You will also be guided by Miguel Juarez and captivated by Lea’s work alongside other artists, including Peter Hurd, Sebastian, Salvador Lopez, Diego Medina, José Cisneros, Urbici Soler, and Carl Hertzog.
🆓 Free admission. Registration required!
