Mike Hernandez and the Lonesome Dove Band bring traditional country
Mike Hernandez and the Lonesome Dove Band bring traditional country and honky-tonk straight out of Andrews, Texas. Born and raised there, Mike is a Texas and Nashville country recording artist whose music is built for dance halls, rodeos, and festivals.
Since forming the band in 2012, he’s played three consecutive years at CMA Music Fest, opened for major country artists, and released two album projects. Those include the originals “Somebody’s Everything” and “Battle Scars,” a tribute written for Vietnam veterans and everyone who has served.
Offstage, Mike is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran (1994–2000), a former professional bull rider, a former firefighter, and a veteran advocate. He’s a two-time Josie Music Awards nominee and a two-time nominee for the International Singer-Songwriter Association awards.
