Hvem er du, når du står i kostumet, men venter på at skulle ud på scenen?
Hvem er du, når du klæder dig ud som solen til Halloween? Eller når du er solen, men altid har maske på?
Kunstneren Ursula von Okkels leder dig i sin udstilling igennem et univers i et mellemstadie. Hun stiller eksistentielle spørgsmål til den barnlige sjæl, der genert mumler “slik eller ballade” i mødet med den voksne i døren. Hun spørger dig, om dit indre barn mon stadig står og venter på at skulle ud på den frygtindgydende scene.

At the boundary between play, dressing up, and eeriness, *IT’S HALLOWEEN AND I’M THE SUN* explores our state of mind just before the moment of truth.
Who are you when you are standing in costume, waiting to go on stage?Who are you when you dress up as the sun for Halloween? Or when you are the sun, but always wear a mask?
In her exhibition, artist Ursula von Okkels leads you through a universe in an in-between state. She poses existential questions to the childlike soul that shyly mumbles “trick or treat” when meeting the adult at the door. She asks you whether your inner child might still be standing there, waiting to step onto the frightening stage.
