Formed in 1969 alongside Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath, the British legends helped create the loud, theatrical sound that would define the genre for decades, scoring Billboard hits with albums like Demons and Wizards and The Magician’s Birthday and building a reputation for soaring vocal harmonies. What set them apart was never just the riffs, it was the voice: soaring, layered harmonies and a signature wah-wah guitar, a combination so distinctive it earned them the nickname “the Beach Boys of Heavy Metal”.
Over 50 years, 25 studio albums, and 40 million records sold worldwide, they’ve never stopped touring. Now, after more than five decades on the road, they’re finally calling it: “The Magician’s Farewell” is their last world tour ever.
