Celebrate 100 Years of Urbandale!Urbandale United invites you to a free neighborhood celebration on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 1–5 p.m., on the 4000–4100 block of Urban Avenue.
Urbandale United is a nonprofit organization serving the Urbandale neighborhood and surrounding areas of southeast Dallas. We bring neighbors together through community events, neighborhood beautification, youth and family activities, and local advocacy. Join us as we celebrate Urbandale’s centennial, established in 1926, and look back at our neighborhood’s history while imagining its future.
Urbandale United’s board and volunteers are leading our Better Block street activation, made possible through a Better Block grant. We’re creating a temporary gathering space with seating, plants, and displays celebrating Urbandale’s history.
Enjoy free food and a DJ sponsored by Dallas Housing Coalition, plus live art performances sponsored by the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture. Dallas Housing Coalition will also host interactive Be My Neighbor activities in the empty lot next to Mi Barrio, where neighbors can learn about Dallas zoning reform and “missing middle” housing.
