Come and visit our USAR, Technical Rescue and Fleet Workshops team!We’re opening our doors for you to see behind the scenes and explore some of the specialist equipment and vehicles we use.
At this station, we deal with some of the most complex rescues – from rope and water rescues to trench rescues and even using drones (including an indoor one!). You’ll also see our huge fire vehicles, packed with thousands of pieces of kit used in major emergencies like collapsed buildings.
There will be live demonstrations throughout the day, so you can watch our team in action. You’ll also get the chance to meet members of the UK International Search and Rescue team, who are based here.
Our fleet workshops will be open too, so you can see the amazing work that goes into keeping all our fire engines and rescue equipment ready to go.
Plenty of fire engines and rescue vehicles will be on display, and it’s a great chance to ask questions and learn more about the work we do.
