Info: This session will review the essential components of kidney function and their relationship to commonly used and emerging diagnostic markers. Participants will explore how biomarkers reflect kidney function, injury, and disease progression, including their strengths, limitations, and complementary use. Drawing on current literature and clinical evidence, the session will provide a framework for integrating multiple diagnostic approaches to improve recognition, assessment, and monitoring of acute kidney injury (AKI) and chronic kidney disease (CKD).
