Normally, our upholstery classes run for 3 hours each. This special weekend workshop combines all four sessions into two full days of hands-on learning, with 6 hours of instruction each day and a lunch break after the first 3 hours.
What You'll Learn
- Strip and prepare your existing chair seats.
- Inspect and replace worn foam or padding where needed.
- Measure, cut and apply your new upholstery fabric.
- Learn proper stretching, stapling and finishing techniques.
- Glue and tighten minor wobbles in your chairs.
- Refresh tired wood finishes with touch-ups, waxes and basic restoration techniques.
- Reassemble your chairs for a beautiful finished set!
Who Is This Class For?
This is an intermediate-level workshop.
You must have completed our Beginner Upholstery Workshop or have previous hands-on experience with similar projects.
This is a working class designed for people who want to complete their chairs, not just watch a demonstration!
Workshop Details
Location: Bespoke Original Skills Studio — Toronto West End
Duration: 2 days, 6 instructional hours per day, plus a lunch break.

Bring: 4 kitchen chairs with removable upholstered seats.
Fabric can be purchased through the studio or brought from home with prior approval. Any replacement foam needed is available to students at cost.
Chairs must be approved before class to ensure the project is suitable for the weekend. Minor wood repairs are included; major structural repairs or full refinishing are not.
