About this Event
In New York, what you wear is part of how you express yourself to the people around you. But personal style doesn’t have to mean constantly buying something new.
Every last Sunday of the month from 1 PM to 3 PM, join us at the Banksy Museum for a beginner friendly, instructor led Upcycling Stencil Workshop.
Bring in something old from your closet or a fresh thrift find and learn how to give it a new life using street art inspired stencils and paint. Our instructor will guide you through the process from start to finish, so absolutely no previous experience is necessary.
Inspired by Banksy’s criticism of consumer culture and waste, the workshop is about creating something individual from what already exists. Transform an old T shirt, jacket, pair of jeans, tote, or another fabric piece into something that actually feels like you.
