About this Event
A free two-hour GCSE maths session at Urmston Library, taught by a qualified secondary school maths teacher. Open to any student in Years 9, 10 or 11 — you don't need to be a member of anything, and it doesn't cost a penny.
Saturday 3 October: Indices. Laws of indices, negative and fractional powers, and the exam questions that use them. You'll leave able to handle the ones most students skip.
We work through real exam questions the way you'd answer them under pressure — how to start when you're stuck, how to set your working out, and why students who know the maths still drop marks on these. Bring a pen and paper, and a calculator if you have one.
First Saturday of every month, 10am–12pm, in Meeting Room 1. A different topic each time. Parents are welcome to stay or drop off.
