About this Event
Come experience the world-making process for a new play by dancing, playing games, and enjoying Black "up southern" and "down south" culture. This day-long immersive experience gives folks first-hand insight on how the world of the play came to life. Inspired by true stories, the events for the day are designed to uplift, celebrate and invoke pride for Black southern culture. Immediately following the event is a first time ever sharing from the play, “Can you read the stars?” written by playwright and cultural worker, Goldie E. Patrick.
