About this Event
Charlie Stevens is a walking case study in blandness - the kind of straight white bloke who was clearly designed in a hurry. He grew up in a household allergic to seasoning, and has been mistaken for a condiment more than once.
He also left England at eight and never really went back. Twenty-odd years and three countries later, his dad's retired, his sister's pregnant, and his granddad's given him a lot to think about lately - and Charlie's finding most of it out down a phone line.
Unseasoned Chicken Breast is an hour about what it actually costs to build a life somewhere else. About a family that drifts apart, and keeps being pulled back in.
This is a work-in-progress performance. Charlie's road-testing new material from the show ahead of its full debut in Brussels this October - expect a few rough edges, the odd off-book detour, and a rare chance to watch an hour get built in real time.
Written & performed by Charlie Stevens, road-tested on the Brussels English-language comedy scene.
