🇹🇭 👇🏻🎸 UNNAMED TRIO — Modern Jazz & Improvisation at Smalls
Unnamed Trio brings together three familiar faces from Bangkok's creative jazz scene, with musical connections that extend well beyond this guitar-led group. Guitarist Parames Pipattanasuporn and bassist Ratanapong “Benz” Phumloyfah have worked together as a duo, while drummer Torfan “Pom” Dilokvidhyarat has collaborated with Parames and shares the others' interest in contemporary jazz and improvisation.
Between them, the three musicians have played in an unusually wide range of projects, from TAYAN, Jaywalkers Trio and Step Aside to Creaturation, Killjoy, Q-HAM and Scoutland & Friends. Their backgrounds take in modern jazz, experimental rock, electronic music and free improvisation.
With Unnamed Trio, the focus is on original compositions developed through the interaction of guitar, double bass and drums. There's room for melodic playing, unexpected rhythmic turns and improvisation, drawing on the experience these three musicians have gained across Bangkok's independent music
