Unity VillageSunday, Nov 1, 3-5pm, Jazz @ Diamond Factory
260 Elm Street, Davis Square, Somerville, MA
Free admission (tips greatly appreciated)
Led by bass guitarist Jeff Song, Unity Village is a contemporary jazz collective that celebrates the music of the ECM record label and ECM-adjacent artists. The group can vary in size from trio to sextet and focuses on – but is not limited to - guitar-driven contemporary instrumental music. Composers like Bill Frisell, Emily Remler, Pat Metheny, John Scofield and John Abercrombie are guiding stars for this repertoire. All members of Unity Village have performed around the country, around the globe, and individually appear on dozens of recordings. We are delighted to perform at Diamond Factory and support this incredibly important community art space.
For Nov 1 @ Diamond Factory, Unity Village will be a quartet:
Raleigh Green – guitar
John Mettam – drums
Josh Ziemann – keyboard
Jeff Song – bass guitar
Special thanks to Somerville Arts Council and Diamond Factory
