Join Unity Hikers Alabama for our 2nd Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Hike—a meaningful day centered around community, wellness, awareness, remembrance, support, and unity.
This experience is about more than getting on the trail. It’s about bringing people together to honor breast cancer survivors, stand with those currently fighting, remember loved ones we have lost, support families and caregivers, and create a space where our community can connect through movement and fellowship.
Whether you are an experienced hiker or simply want to come out, connect with good people, support an important cause, and enjoy the outdoors, you are welcome here.
🩷 WHAT TO EXPECT
10:00 AM — ARRIVAL & CHECK-IN
- Guest arrival and check-in
- Meet the Unity Hikers team and volunteers
- Receive breast cancer awareness trinkets, ribbons, and event items
- Get settled and meet fellow participants
10:30 AM — COMMUNITY BREAKFASTWe’ll enjoy breakfast together while allowing everyone time to arrive, settle in, and connect.
10:30–11:30 AM — COMMUNITY GATHERINGThis will be our time to slow down and fellowship before the hike. Enjoy music, conversation, pictures, and meaningful connections while we wait for the full group to arrive.
We’ll also distribute our breast cancer awareness trinkets and ribbons and recognize the importance of the day.
11:30 AM — GATHER & PREPAREEveryone will begin gathering together for final preparations. We’ll go over the hike experience, safety reminders, hydration, group expectations, and anything participants need to know before we leave.
11:45 AM — UNITY GROUP PHOTO 📸Everyone comes together for our official 2nd Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Hike Unity Photo.
Come dressed in your pink, Unity Hikers gear, or whatever makes you feel connected to the cause. This is our opportunity to capture the people who came together to support one another.
12:00 PM — DEPARTUREWe will leave our meeting location together and head toward the hiking location.
12:15 PM — THE UNITY HIKE BEGINS 🥾🎀
Now it’s time to hit the trail!
Our hike will be filled with:
- Scenic views and outdoor exploration
- Fellowship and conversation
- Encouragement and positive energy
- Photos and memorable moments
- Breast cancer awareness
- Honoring survivors and fighters
- Remembering loved ones
- Building connections through movement and community
You don’t have to hike alone. We move together, encourage one another, and make sure nobody feels left behind.
🍽️ 2:00–3:30 PM — A BITE AFTER THE HIKE
After completing the hike, we’ll come together for A Bite After the Hike.
This is our time to:
- Grab something to eat
- Refuel after the hike
- Relax and fellowship
- Take pictures
- Laugh and connect
- Celebrate making it through the day together
🩷 3:30 PM — CLOSING UNITY MOMENT
We’ll close the event with a special moment of unity and appreciation.
Participants will have an opportunity to reflect on “I Walk For…” and recognize the people and stories that make this cause personal.
We’ll also recognize and thank our survivors, fighters, families, caregivers, volunteers, sponsors, and everyone who showed up to support the mission.

- Comfortable hiking clothes
- Comfortable hiking shoes
- Plenty of water
- Sunscreen
- Hat/sunglasses
- Small backpack
- Any personal necessities you may need
- Pink gear or breast cancer awareness attire
- Your positive energy!
🎀 IMPORTANT
Please plan your day accordingly. The scheduled event concludes at approximately 3:30PM or when your ready to go.
Come early, come prepared, and come ready to be part of something bigger than yourself.
