Following its inaugural presentation in New York City in 2025, UNITED IN ART arrives in San Diego for a limited presentation from October 17th- November 6th. Organized by the Fondazione Culturale Carlo Rambaldi, the exhibition brings together a diverse selection of contemporary artists from Italy and beyond, creating a dynamic exchange of perspectives, practices, and creative voices.
The initiative is presented under the official patronage of the Carlo Rambaldi Cultural Foundation, honoring the cultural legacy of Carlo Rambaldi, the celebrated Italian artist and special-effects pioneer whose groundbreaking work brought some of cinema’s most iconic creatures to life, including the beloved character E.T. in Steven Spielberg’s E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.
This exhibition, UNITED IN ART explores the connections between contemporary art, culture, and international exchange, presenting works that reflect the individuality and imagination of each participating artist. Many of the works presented are also conceived as a homage to Carlo Rambaldi, his extraordinary artistic vision, and his enduring legacy in the world of cinema and visual art. The exhibition offers a dialogue between past and present, connecting Rambaldi’s influential legacy with the voices of a new generation of artists, while fostering a cultural exchange between Italy and the United States.
The opening reception is free and open to the public. We invite you to join us on Saturday, October 17th, from 4:00–6:00 PM to celebrate the artists and explore the exhibition.
