We are delighted to mark the UNION-IP Christmas dinner with our speaker Mark Chacksfield KC, épéeist, pentathlete, zoologist and, of course, lead counsel for Emotional Perception before the Patents Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court. A standout figure in UK patent litigation, Mark brings a wealth of experience from high-stakes disputes across pharmaceuticals, biotech, and telecoms.
Mark will be sharing his insights into the legal and technical questions raised by artificial neural networks and their place in patent law—an area now under the spotlight whilst we await the decision of the Supreme Court.
All of this will unfold in the festive setting of the Christmas Cabana at the Bleeding Heart, with crackers, paper crowns, and spirited conversation!

Venue: This event will be held at Christmas Cabana, Bleeding Heart (Bleeding Heart Yard, Farringdon, London EC1N 8SJ). Places are limited to 50 attendees only, so ensure to book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment!
Time: Drinks from 6.30pm for 7pm dinner, address by the speaker at about 8pm and a general question and answer/discussion session to finish by no later than 9.30pm, with a pub visit for those wishing to continue discussions in an informal atmosphere.
