Á þessum tónleikum, sem bera yfirskriftina Ungir einleikarar, kynnumst við nokkrum af björtustu framtíðarstjörnum íslenskrar tónlistar. Tónleikarnir eru sannkölluð uppskeruhátíð, þar sem sigurvegarar í einleikara- og einsöngskeppni Sinfóníuhljómsveitar Íslands og Listaháskóla Íslands stíga á svið með hljómsveitinni. Andrúmsloftið á þessum tónleikum er jafnan einstakt og eftirvæntingin mikil þegar ungu tónlistarfólki gefst færi á að koma fram með Sinfóníuhljómsveit Íslands, á glæsilegasta tónleikasviði landsins, í Eldborg. Hljómsveitarstjóri að þessu sinni er Samuel Lee, sem sigraði hina virtu Malko - stjórnendakeppni árið 2024 og stjórnaði Sinfóníuhljómsveit Íslands á síðasta starfsári á eftirminnilegum tónleikum. Undirtektir gesta á tónleikunum voru afar góðar og því er honum boðið hingað á nýjan leik í þetta gefandi, en krefjandi verkefni.Einleikarakeppnin fer fram í byrjun árs 2027 og verða nöfn sigurvegara og efnisskrá tónleikanna birt á vef hljómsveitarinnar þegar úrslit liggja fyrir.

At this concert, titled Young Soloists, we will meet some of the brightest future stars of Icelandic music. The concert is a true harvest festival, where the winners of the soloist and vocal competition held by the Iceland Symphony Orchestra and the Iceland Academy of the Arts take the stage with the ISO. The atmosphere at these concerts is always unique and the anticipation is palpable when young musicians are given the opportunity to perform with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra, on the most impressive concert stage in the country, in Eldborg. This year the conductor is Samuel Lee, who won the prestigious Malko Conducting Competition in 2024 and conducted the Iceland Symphony Orchestra last season. The audience reaction was very good, so he has been invited here again for this rewarding, but challenging project.
The soloist competition will take place in early 2027, and the names of the winners and the concert programme will be published on the orchestra's website when the results are announced.
