About this Event
Anger is a natural human emotion—and it has a purpose.
In this interactive wellness class, we’ll explore anger as an action emotion: a signal that something may need our attention, protection, or a response. Rather than viewing anger as something to suppress or get rid of, we’ll learn how to better understand what our anger may be communicating and how to respond to it with greater awareness and intention.
Together, we’ll explore:
🌿 What anger is and why we experience it
🌿 How to recognize your personal anger levels and early warning signs
🌿 Common triggers and what may be underneath our anger
🌿 How anger can provide helpful information about our needs, boundaries, and values
🌿 Practical tools for coping with anger and responding rather than reacting
🌿 Ways to build greater awareness and choice when emotions intensify
The class will also include a mindfulness exercise to help you practice noticing emotions in the present moment, along with an art directive designed to encourage reflection and self-expression.
This is a space to learn, reflect, and develop a more compassionate understanding of your anger—not to judge yourself for having it.
Come curious. Leave with a better understanding of your anger and practical tools for working with it.
