About this Event
Are you a parent/carer of a PRIMARY or SECONDARY aged child with SEND?
Come and join us along with professionals, who will be presenting information to help inform you about Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) provision in Coventry such as:
- Ordinarily Available Inclusive Provision (OAIP) in mainstream schools
- Support Bases
- Enhanced Support Bases/ Provision (Specialist Support Bases)
- Special Schools
- Support for children with Educational, Health & Care Plans
- Coventry SEND Support Services
This parent-focused session will guide you through the support available for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You’ll learn what Ordinarily Available Inclusive Provision (OAIP) means for your child and how it is delivered in mainstream schools, support bases, and special schools. We’ll also explain how children with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) are supported in different settings, and introduce the Coventry SEND Support Service. With input from local schools, this session will help you better understand your options, what to expect, and how to work with schools to support your child’s learning and wellbeing.
