About this Event

Feel Prepared for Your Baby’s Feeding Journey

An in-person course for expectant parents and families with babies 0–12 months

Tongue ties and infant feeding can come with a lot of questions - and often a lot of conflicting information.

What signs actually matter? How are tongue ties assessed? When might feeding support be enough, and when might a release be considered?

Join Michelle Buckley, IBCLC, at Family Dental Centre for a clear, practical conversation designed to help parents better understand infant feeding, oral ties, and the options available to their family.

What We'll Cover

Recognizing a Concern
Learn what feeding challenges can look like, how oral ties are assessed, and why function and the whole picture matter - not simply how a tongue tie looks.

Understanding Your Options
Explore conservative feeding support, when a tongue-tie release may be considered, timing, and the different approaches families may encounter.

Planning for Support
Learn about bodywork and the broader care team, what families may expect following a release, longer-term considerations, and helpful resources.

Practical Guidance, Without Pressure

There is no single path that is right for every baby. This class is designed to give you practical, evidence-informed information so you can ask better questions, understand your options, and make informed decisions for your family.

There will also be time for questions in a small-group setting limited to 15 spots.

Meet Your Instructor

Michelle Buckley, IBCLC is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant who supports families navigating infant feeding concerns and questions about oral ties.

Michelle works alongside Dr. Mandeep Johal, who has performed more than 3,500 tongue-tie releases. She will share practical guidance on feeding support, assessment, treatment options, and what families may expect throughout the process.
