Objectives:
· Define Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and identify common types (e.g., abuse, neglect, household challenges).
· Explain the impact of ACEs on brain development and behavior, including stress responses and coping mechanisms.
· Recognize the link between ACEs and long-term health outcomes, including mental, physical, and social effects.
· Identify signs of trauma in children and adults in community settings.
Overall Goal: Introduce participants to the concept of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and explore how early life adversity can influence brain development, behavior, health outcomes, and relationships across the lifespan
