🌱 What does all that stuff on a plant label actually mean? 🏷️Before spring planting gets underway, we want to spend some time learning how to actually read and understand a plant label, and, just as importantly, when the information on that label may need a little local context.
Join us for our FREE Understanding Plant Labels class where we’ll break down things like annual vs. perennial, sun requirements, mature size, spacing, water needs, cold hardiness, USDA zones, patents, variety names, and more.
We’ll also talk about why a label is a starting point, not necessarily the final word. ☀️🌧️ Here in Southeast Texas, our heat, humidity, rainfall, long growing season, and even the little microclimates within our own yards can affect how a plant performs compared with what the tag suggests.
The goal is simple: learn what the label is telling you, then learn how to apply that information to YOUR garden.
