Alan Hester is running a focused and interactive 2 hour in-person session on Understanding People: Adapting Your Management Style.
Managing people effectively starts with recognising that everyone is different. Each person brings their own background, communication style, strengths, and ways of learning. This practical bite-size workshop will help you adapt your approach to get the best from individuals and teams.
During this session, you will explore:
- Six different management approaches and when to use them
- How to communicate more effectively by speaking in ways that resonate with different people
- Influencing and negotiating techniques to achieve positive outcomes
- Active listening skills and the role of emotional intelligence in building strong working relationships
Whether you manage staff, volunteers, or project teams, this session will provide practical tools to help you build stronger relationships, improve communication, and achieve better results.
The session is highly practical, encouraging reflection, discussion, and the sharing of real‑life experiences to ensure learning can be immediately applied. So bring your notepad and pen.
