A monthly gathering for curious chocolate lovers to taste, learn, and see chocolate differently. Each month, Kaysee Hill leads us through a new theme — exploring chocolate through flavor, origin, culture, and the senses.
No chocolate expertise required. Just bring your curiosity.
Dark chocolate doesn't have to be spooky!
Join Certified Chocolate Sommelier Kaysee Hill for a two-hour tasting seminar at Coastal Table and Tales, Georgia's first culinary bookstore and cooking workshop space. Kaysee travels the world exploring, learning, and tasting chocolate, then brings it back to Savannah to decode it. Part of the monthly Understanding Chocolate series, this session is devoted to dark chocolate: what those percentages on the wrapper actually mean, and how they shape what you taste.
You'll also sample bars inspired by the spooky holidays of the season, proof that dark chocolate can be thoughtful, delicious, and a little bit fun.
What you'll do
- Explore chocolate percentages and what they actually mean
- Taste dark chocolates side by side, including bars inspired by the season's spooky holidays
- Learn how origin and craftsmanship shape flavor
- Sharpen your palate with guided tasting techniques
- Ask questions and swap impressions with fellow chocolate lovers

All materials and all the chocolate. Just bring your curiosity (and an appetite).

- Small-group experience: only 12 seats
- Panthera Collective chocolate will be available to purchase after the class

Kaysee Hill is a Certified Chocolate Sommelier who travels the world exploring, learning, and tasting chocolate, then brings it back to Savannah to decode it. She leads Coastal Table and Tales' Understanding Chocolate series, exploring chocolate through flavor, origin, culture, and the senses.
