This year's theme, Unbreakable — The Parts of Me That Remain, acknowledges that breast cancer changes us, but it does not define us. While our bodies, relationships, and outlook on life may be different, there is a strength, wisdom, and resilience that remains. This day is about honouring that strength while discovering practical ways to continue healing and living well.The morning will begin with an inspiring keynote address by Daniel Costa Gil, whose powerful message on resilience, trauma, healing, and the unbreakable human spirit will encourage you to move beyond survival and embrace the next chapter of your life with courage and hope.
Following the keynote, you'll have the opportunity to explore a carefully curated Wellness Experience featuring more than 30 exhibitors dedicated to supporting women living with and beyond breast cancer. Meet leading breast surgeon, oncologists, rehabilitation specialists, physiotherapists, lymphoedema therapists, counsellors, nutrition experts, fitness professionals, and complementary wellness practitioners who are passionate about improving quality of life.
Whether you are looking for support with fatigue, lymphoedema, menopausal symptoms, body image, emotional wellbeing, exercise, nutrition, sexual health, pain management, reconstruction options, or other long-term side effects of treatment, you'll discover a wide range of services, products, and evidence-informed approaches that may help you continue your healing journey.
Perhaps most importantly, this is a chance to connect face-to-face with fellow Sisonke Sisters—many meeting for the first time after supporting one another online. Together we'll share stories, laughter, encouragement, and the reminder that healing is often found in community. You don’t have to be a member of Sisonke Sisters to attend this event.
