Clases en la Cabana - Bomba Percussion Join us in the Cabana for a hands-on workshop were everyone will interact with the basic elements of the musical genre of the Puerto Rican Bomba.
Exploring the use of the Bomba as a vehicle of expression, an element of resistance and the impact of this in the formation of the Puerto Rican identity.
Objectives:
- Explore the instruments of Bomba and the direct connection it has in the dance.
- Know each of the instruments and their functions within the genre.
- Manage to make the connection between dance / instrument / instrument / dance.
- Understand the technique of hitting in the Bomb drum and its tones. Just like the technique in the cua and maraca.

Clases en la Cabana - Poemas Encontrados
Acompáñanos en la Cabana para un taller práctico de “Poemas Encontrados”, presentado por Christina Montilla, escritora, editora y educadora.
Aprende qué son los “poemas encontrados” y cómo crear tu propia poesía utilizando palabras y frases de textos existentes. Es una forma divertida y accesible de explorar la poesía, abierta a todas las edades y niveles de experiencia.
Este taller práctico está limitado a 35 participantes. Se proporcionarán revistas, hojas de texto impresas, tijeras, cinta adhesiva, pegamento y marcadores para crear tu propio poema.
