Fida is launching its first Fashion Arts Summer Exhibition at the prestigious Istituto Marangoni Miami.
In homage to the architectural philosophy of the Billboard Building, in Miami’s Design District, celebrated for mixing traditional and contemporary styles, Fida will be exhibiting a collection of fashion artworks - with an appreciation for both craft and modern technologies - within the space.
The stunning Billboard Building is home to a world-renowned fashion school, Istituto Marangoni, in Miami, designed by Shulman+Associates.
The show will be Fida’s first Fashion Arts Summer Exhibition in keeping with Fida’s mission to promote fashion artists around the globe and continue with their goal of “Lifting creativity as we rise”. Fida will immerse the audience in a pigment-rich experience, exploring the blue hues of the lapis lazuli - the key ingredient needed to make the intense Ultramarine pigment - displayed against the backdrop of the dazzling Miami sea and sky.
Ultramarine remains one of the finest and most desired pigments, used by renaissance painters and contemporary artists alike. Drawing from the past, the artists have been inspired by the, which has previously been used to depict the robes of the Virgin Mary to symbolize holiness and humility, including the cyanotypes of Robert Rauschenberg and as inspiration for the fashion collections of Phoebe Philo in SS17 for Celine, using the body print artworks of Yves Klein.

Held during Paraiso Miami Beach - Miami Swim Week, when the district will be inundated with fashion lovers, the show will be open to the public, between 7th July and 5th August 2021. The artworks will also be available to purchase online at www.fidaworldwide.com.
The private view is being held on 6th July 2021 (by invitation only).
Exhibition date: 6th July 2021 - 5th August 2021.
