"When I was 12 YO my dad pulled out a ukulele on a long trip to the Seattle World's Fair to entertain my brother and me. I was hooked. Life went on and I completed advanced degrees in Music and ended up teaching at Concord for 40+ years. I now own a large collection of stringed instruments and cannot imagine life without them. My wife and I currently perform throughout most of the year at Renaissance Festivals on historic instruments of various kinds. Music is one of the joys of life, and Uke can be a brilliant gateway."
