About this Event
The Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme is the Japanese Government's official and long-running programme of international exchange and English-teaching in Japan for UK graduates. Applications for the 2027 JET programme are now open until 5th November this year. There are 2 positions available on the JET Programme: Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) and Co-ordinator for International Relations (CIR). For ALTs, knowledge of Japanese or previous teaching experience is not required. We welcome applicants from all degree subjects.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This event is open to the public over 18 years old and any students and staff of University of Lancashire.
The content is mainly targeted at UK nationals who can apply to the Japanese Embassy in the UK. For non-UK citizens, please refer to the Japanese Embassy website of your home country.
An Embassy staff who also is an ex-JET participant is going to be presenting on the day, please prepare questions by going through the application website in advance to make the most of this opportunity.

The venue is University of Lancashire, Preston, Adelphi Building Lecture Theatre 4 (entrance from the first floor).
The talk aims to start at 13:30 but members of public must come through the front entrance between 13:15-13:25 to gain your access by the organiser at the door.
