Marcel, Nicole and Theo are three friends excited to present you with their hottest takes, silliest bits, and most hilarious stories.Marcel has over 15 years of experience performing, mentoring and directing in comedy and has eagerly taken Nicole and Theo under his wing to bring them to Theory Bar for Melbourne Fringe. This is a celebration of new voices in stand-up comedy, alongside a comedian passionate about making comedy a kind, welcoming place to be.
Theo Rylan has had a life long love of comedy. After moving to Melbourne in 2023, they finally got their act together and put themself on stage. A core belief of theirs is they’d be an incredible contestant on Taskmaster, due to their very flappable nature. Their comedy comes from true stories and weird little thoughts their brain insists on generating.
Hailing from Hoboken New Jersey, Nicole has been making her mark in Melbourne since her arrival in 2018. Leaving the corporate life behind in New York City she decided to follow her dreams and became an actor in her new found home. Recently she competed in the Raw Comedy National Stand Up competition making it all the way to the Victoria State Finals. She enjoys performing with her improv team “Lowest Prices Are Just the Beginning” for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival as well as Melbourne Fringe. She delivers humorous observations about the Australian lifestyle on her podcast “Melanated in Melbourne”.
Marcel Blanch-de Wilt is an award-winning stand-up, improviser, writer, and director. He has performed in the US, UK, NZ, and every capital city in Australia. He performs alongside his wife in their improv duo The Newlyweds. He runs The Comedy Writers Group, a community of comedians eager to make the scene more diverse, welcoming, and fun.
