Networking Event Assistant Volunteers help create welcoming, engaging, and well-organized youth networking events. Volunteers work collaboratively with the event team to support attendees, facilitate activities, and ensure the event runs smoothly.
Responsibilities include:
-Brainstorming ideas and activities for future youth networking events
-Answering basic questions about Volunteer Connect (VC)
-Directing detailed program questions to a Volunteer Manager or appropriate staff member
-Supporting icebreakers, networking activities, games, workshops, and group discussions
-Handle company equipment to take photographs as directed by volunteer managers at events
-Helping maintain clean, organized, safe, and accessible event spaces
-Assisting with event setup, material preparation, and activity stations
-Supporting event teardown, collecting materials, and completing post-event cleanup
-Adapting to changing event needs and assisting with other reasonable tasks as assigned
-Completing all required orientation and training before the event
-Representing U+ Community professionally and following event guidelines


Ideal candidates will:
-Be reliable, punctual, responsible, and prepared
-Have strong organizational skills and attention to detail
-Communicate clearly and respectfully with attendees, staff, and volunteers
-Be friendly, approachable, and comfortable engaging with youth
-Work effectively as part of a team
-Follow event plans, instructions, and assigned responsibilities
-Take initiative and respond positively as event needs change
-Help foster an inclusive environment for people of different identities, abilities, and backgrounds
-Be available for required training and event-preparation activities
