This hands-on workshop invites you to slow down, listen to the rhythmic click of vintage keys, and create hand-typed autumn keepsakes on a curated collection of meticulously restored typewriters from mid-century Europe.

Embrace the cozy autumn mood with rich fall-themed stationery, pressed botanical accents, and a dedicated wax-sealing station to create warm letters, seasonal notes, and custom gifts for friends and family.
What to Expect in This 2-Hour Workshop:

🌀 Explore Mid-Century Classics:

Try out a curated fleet of restored European typewriters, from sleek Italian Olivettisto reliable Swiss Hermes and sturdy German models. Each offering its own distinct tactile feel and typeface.
🌀 Hands-On Basics:

Learn how to operate a mechanical typewriter, comparing the unique keystrokes and mechanics across different models.
🌀 Station Rotation:

Rotate through different typing stations every 15 minutes to experience a wide variety of machines

🌀 Autumn Stationery & Botanical Touches:

Add a special touch to your letters with fall-themed stationery and dried botanical elements.

🌀 Wax Seal & Finishing Station:

Finish your hand-typed letters, mini scrolls, and seasonal keepsakes with custom wax seal stamps.

You'll be able to take home your creations. Write freely or use our guided prompts for short stories, poetry, or holiday letter-writing. All ink, stationery, botanicals, and wax-sealing supplies are provided! :)

Your Host:

Jessie is a vintage typewriter enthusiast with a PhD in Biomedical Engineering. After accidentally catching the typewriter bug, she quickly filled her apartment with hundreds of machines, hand-restoring over half of them herself. Today, she is the founder of CasaTempo, a space where she shares her restored collection and passion for mechanical writing.
