About this Event
You care about your community. But what can you actually do to make a difference?
Join us in person for TYP ENGAGE, a civic engagement event focused on the many ways you can get involved in Tucson without running for office.
Whether you’re already involved in your community or have no idea where to start, this event is designed to make civic engagement feel more accessible, practical, and approachable. We’ll explore how the issues we care about can turn into action, how Arizona’s proposition process works, what we’re actually voting on, and the many ways people can make an impact outside of elected office.
We’ll also hear from local organizations about the work they’re doing throughout Tucson and how you can get involved. The goal is to connect what you care about with real opportunities to take action in your community.
✨ What to Expect:
- An interactive activity to identify the issues and values that matter to you and build your personal mission
- A non-partisan overview of Arizona’s proposition process and how residents can participate
- A closer look at the propositions and ballot measures we’ll be voting on
- Local organizations sharing their missions, their “why,” and ways you can get involved
- Plenty of opportunities to connect with other Tucsonans who want to make a difference
- A chance to leave with at least one concrete next step for getting involved in your community
Who Should Attend:
- Young professionals looking for ways to become more involved in Tucson
- Community members interested in advocacy and civic engagement
- Anyone curious about volunteering, boards, commissions, or grassroots organizations
- Anyone who cares about their community but isn’t sure where to start
