Let's get out and explore the beautiful nature of Tyndall AFB! This field trip is for all homeschoolers and families with base access. We will have a short lesson at the amphitheater by the Natural Resources Office. We will learn about the many things they do, what native species they protect and how they work with and support the mission of Tyndall. We will also learn ways that we can help. After the lesson, we will explore the Smack Bayou trail. Proper shoes and attire are recommended. The trip out is an adventure itself. We will be going to the group campsite at Redfish Point area. You will take Sabre all the way. After the Auto Hobby Shop you will be on a dirt road. You aren't lost! Carpooling is a great option if dirt roads aren't your fave.
This field trip is thanks to Wildlife Technician Beckie Johnson from the Natural Resource Office. We are so excited to explore the many ways Tyndall AFB contributes to our community and our natural landscape!
