About this Event
What happens when external threats cross our borders—not only through people and criminal networks, but through ideas and ideologies? From the U.S.-Mexico border to the growing influence of Islamism, join the Tyler Liberty Leadership Council* (LLC) for a conversation that will examine the external threats that are shaping America’s security landscape and what they mean for Texas.
Featuring , Senior Fellow for the Secure & Sovereign Nation Initiative at the Texas Public Policy Foundation (TPPF) and , Associate Vice President of Engagement at TPPF, this discussion will provide an inside perspective on the security challenges facing Texas along the southern border, including the implications of illegal immigration, transnational criminal networks, and foreign threats. Our featured experts will also explore the ideology of Islamism, its influence in Texas and across the United States, and the potential connections between broader national security concerns and vulnerabilities at the border.
As Texas prepares for the 90th Legislative Session, Ammon and Sam will discuss the pressing policy questions currently facing Texas: What does a secure and sovereign Texas look like in an increasingly complex world? What policy solutions can help strengthen homeland security while preserving a vision rooted in individual liberty, constitutional government, and the rule of law?
