Community is invited to join us at the Two Spirit and Transgender Day of Remembrance on Friday November 20th between 6:00-8:00pm at Rainbow Resource Centre. (514 St Mary Ave)The evening will start with a pipe ceremony followed by a performance from Rainbow Harmony Project.
A sacred fire will burn outside and community is welcome to bring tobacco to offer the fire. A feast will be provided as we remember and honour Two Spirit and Transgender folks who have passed due to violence and discrimination.
Please note this is a drop in, come as you are, indoor/outdoor event - please dress warm!
The organizing group includes individuals from 2Spirit Manitoba, Manitoba Moon Voices, Bahaghari Pride Manitoba, Trans Manitoba, Klinic Community Health, Rainbow Resource Centre, Sunshine House, Pride Winnipeg, and the Manitoba Pride Alliance with support from the City of Winnipeg Human Rights Committee.
