Get ready for an unforgettable night blending live music, creative expression, and powerful community vibes. The Two Halves 2K25 Athlete-Artist Showcase celebrates the connectivity that happens when athletes and artists unite.

Hosted by Chicagoland hoop legend Julian “Ju MIDI” Wright – former NBA player, international hooper, and entrepreneur, now singer/rapper, songwriter, producer – this event is half performance, half networking experience, and 100% movement (Two Halves!).

We have a roster of up-and-coming singers, conscious rappers, and spoken word artists who will perform sets to hopefully grow their audience and influence.

💿 💿 Ju MIDI will take a break from being the emcee to perform songs from his Ju MIDI will take a break from being the emcee to perform songs from his debut R&B double album, "Two Halves 2K25," backed by his elite live band, The Blue Checks, including 2x grammy-nominated drummer and music director, Mitch Hayes!

Ju has pre-NIL, pre-podcast era experience in the music industry, having recorded and/or produced songs on mixtapes during his NBA playing days with/for Kendrick Lamar, BJ The Chicago Kid, Shawnna, 2 Chainz, and other artists!

Ju has already released a debut R&B EP called, JuJu vs. MIDI (September 12, 2021) and is excited to share the growth over the past few years (alone).

Are you a fellow athlete, artist, creatvie, small business owner, top brass representative, or music enthusiast? On us, this inaugural event is included in the general admission price! The VIP networking mixer time slot from 5:30pm - 7:00pm offers opportunities to connect and promote your business(es) during our silent party and networking event; this timeframe will also allow for a Q&A, "Tonight's Conversation" portion with personnel volunteering to talk about all things business (the good, bad, ugly, and between).

This event promises to be a night to remember with a drink or appetizer voucher included in the price along with raffles and fun games to win prizes during intermissions! With your support as a "crowd sponsor," the goal is to create a space for athletes, creatives, and music enthusiasts, to meet and discover up-and-coming talent while networking. Not only that, 30% of all revenue is presented (live/social media posts) to align with local non-profits in sports, music, and STEM sectors!

Info: Silent listening party section for attendees to preview songs from our artist lineup prior to the event, rotating rooms to network, raffles & giveaway opportunities, Q&A portions, and smooth selections played by Ju MIDI's band, The Blue Checks!

Info: Artists will take the stage to perform 2 - 3 songs with storytelling elements so we can learn about the creative experience/journey of each respective artist. Ju MIDI will take the stage to perform his set with The Blue Checks Band before bringing all artists to the stage for a Q&A portion so the talent and crowd can interact together. Intermissions will include segments for karaoke, raffles, and crowd sponsorship presentations to non-profit organizations. Also, show our vendors some love for edible and tangible items!
