TWO-DAY ZOUK TECHNIQUE WORKSHOP ✨with Camilla
Ready to make your dance feel more connected, comfortable, and intentional?
Join us for a two-day workshop diving deeper into the tools behind a great lead and follow. Creating relaxation in the body to developing clearer communication through touch and frame.
🌙 THURSDAY, OCTOBER 8 | 7:30–9:00 PM
SLINGSHOT - Creating Relaxation in the Body
Explore the “slingshot” technique as a tool for creating relaxation and elasticity in the body.
We’ll look at how this quality can help movement feel more natural, fluid, and comfortable, while giving you practical tools you can bring directly into your dance.
$35
🔥 SATURDAY, OCTOBER 10 | 2:00–5:00 PM
LEAD & FOLLOW TECHNIQUE: TOUCH + FRAME
Saturday will be divided into two focused classes. Everyone will participate in both, but each class will place the spotlight on a different role.
2:00–3:30 | LEADER FOCUS: TOUCH
Explore touch on a deeper level and how it can impact the way we lead. We’ll work on using touch to create leads that are more precise, clear, and comfortable.
3:30–5:00 | FOLLOWER FOCUS: FRAME
Dive into frame and learn how to respond more effectively without unnecessary tension or excessive delay. We’ll explore how a more responsive frame can create clearer communication and a better connection between partners.
Even when the focus is on the opposite role, there will be plenty to take away for your own dancing — understanding what your partner needs ultimately makes you a stronger lead and follower.
Saturday: $70
Saturday Pair Rate: $125/couple
✨ BOTH DAYS
Thursday + Saturday: $95
Come for one day or join us for the full experience and take a deeper dive into the mechanics of connection, communication, and movement. We are keeping the class size small so space is limited.
Send payment to Venmo @andrea-erhart and please indicate which role you are focusing on and which days. Or purchase through dancplace ticket link
