MIMA, Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art, hosts this year’s Turner Prize — the UK’s biggest and most exciting art award ever! Located in the heart of Middlesbrough’s Centre Square, MIMA will host this very special event from 26 September 2026 - 29 March 2027.
We are inviting teachers, teaching assistants and professionals who serve children of all ages to enjoy these special CPD events for FREE.

We are delighted to invite you to our inspiring Teacher Development (CPD) Sessions:
- Creative Play for Teachers: Summer Sketchbooks (Friday 24 July)
- Creative Play for Teachers: Turner Prize Explorations (Tuesday 27 October)
- Creative Play for Teachers: Turner Prize Reimagined (Monday 15 February)
All sessions are 10am – 12pm and held at MIMA or the Teesside University campus. Full details provided on sign up.
