Khalil Epi — TUQUS TUQUS is an immersive audiovisual performance exploring trance, music, and communal gathering across the Mediterranean.
From Greece to Palestine, Egypt to Morocco, Italy to Tunisia, shared traditions use repetition and rhythm to bring bodies into dance, trance, and collective connection.
Building on Khalil Epi’s research into popular and ritual music, first explored through Aïchoucha, TUQUS blends electronic music, documentary, and live performance to create a shared ritual where music brings people together.
Co-organised by Kamel Lazaar Foundation and Art Explora Foundation as part of the Art Explora Festival, presented within the 8th edition of Jaou Tunis. Co-funded by the European Union with the further support of Institut français de Tunisie and Saison méditerranée
