Climb aboard The Tui Express for the ultimate end of year office Christmas party! This is the perfect workplace celebration that beats the standard corporate dinner, making it an unforgettable scenic journey aboard our premium carriages. It’s the ultimate way to reward your hardworking team, swap out the boring boardroom, thank your favorite clients, and celebrate the year's wins with a spectacular Sunday on the rails. The undisputed crown jewel of this journey is our passage through the spectacular Manawatū Gorge. With the old highway permanently closed, the rail line offers an exclusive, front row seat to this rugged natural wonder. Watch the dramatic river below and feel the history as we steam through the gorge's tunnels. There is no better place to capture an epic, casual end of year team photo than from our open air viewing platform, the ultimate vantage point for ditching the laptops, hearing the thunderous echo of the steam locomotive, and catching the crisp air of the Manawatū Gorge.
The festive celebrations start the second you step on board! Throughout the trip, our onboard licensed café carriage will be open. Your crew can sit back, relax, and purchase a range of alcoholic and non alcoholic refreshments to toast to your Q4 wins, along with hot espresso coffees and plenty of food, sweet treats, and snacks right from the rails as the stunning scenery rolls by.
Our tracks lead straight to Mangatainoka Station. Upon arrival, step off the platform and stretch your legs with a flat, leisurely 15 minute walk to the world famous Tui Brewery, or hop directly onto one of our dedicated transfer buses waiting for your group. Once at the brewery, relax and toast to your team's successes in the iconic historic grounds. Forget the awkward office Secret Santa and the sad boardroom sausage rolls, your ticket includes a delicious, hearty BBQ buffet lunch and a complimentary Tui beverage (or non alcoholic alternative) to celebrate a successful year together!
Your ticket covers your return journey from your chosen departure station in beautifully appointed premium carriages alongside exclusive rail only views of the Manawatū Gorge, rugged cliffs, and historic tunnels. You will have unrestricted access to the open air viewing platform for unbeatable team bonding, sightseeing, and staff photography, plus full access to the onboard licensed café carriage selling drinks, coffees, and snacks. At the destination, you get a freshly prepared festive BBQ buffet lunch inside the iconic Tui Brewery grounds, one complimentary Tui beer, cider, or non alcoholic beverage, and free transfer buses between Mangatainoka Station and the brewery.
