Explore the creative possibilities of mixed media in this lively one‑day seminar focused on building layered, expressive artwork on paper. You’ll experiment with watercolor, acrylic, collage, graphite, and other water‑soluble materials to discover how different mediums interact, overlap, and enhance one another. Through guided exercises and hands-on exploration, you’ll learn how to combine line, shape, texture, and color to create dynamic, personal compositions. This seminar encourages curiosity, play, and individuality expression—making it a great fit for artists of all levels looking to expand their creative toolkit. All supplies are included, so you can simply show up ready to paint
A quick note about classroom etiquette: phones may absolutely be used for visual reference, but please silence calls and notifications. This is a focused, art-centered workshop, and we ask that conversations remain rooted in painting and creative exploration so that everyone can stay engaged and inspired.
NOTE: For all administrative questions—such as registration issues, cancellations, or workshop attendance—please contact Arlene’s directly. Instructors are not responsible for handling these matters. You can reach us at [email protected] or call during store hours at (518) 482-8881.
Our courses are typically held in the lower level of Arlene's. Because access to the lower level is available only by stair, please let us know if using the stairs presents any difficulty for you in advance of the class so we can make alternate arrangements. We want to make sure everyone is able to enjoy and participate in our classes.
