Have you always wanted to try quilting but felt intimidated by the tools and equipment? Our Beginner’s Rail Fence Quilt Workshop is the perfect place to start!Designed with novice quilters in mind, our variation on the traditional Rail Fence quilt introduces you to the essential elements of quilt-making without overwhelming you. Learn new skills, build confidence, and create a beautiful quilt for your home.
Your quilt top will measure approximately 45 in × 45 in, growing to a finished size of 52 in × 52 in after adding sashing, borders, and binding. It’s the perfect size for a lap quilt.
WORKSHOP DETAILS
• Schedule: 3 consecutive Thursday evenings
• Fee: $175.00 plus HST=$197.75
• Experience: No experience necessary!
• Homework: Some sewing will be required between classes.
Bring your own sewing machine or use ours. If you’ve wanted to try quilting without investing in equipment, this workshop is for you!
FABRIC & SUPPLY REQUIREMENTS
• 35 cm each of 3 coordinating quilting cotton fabrics: light, mid-tone, and dark
• 25 cm of sashing fabric
• 40 cm of border fabric
• 1.25 m of backing fabric
• 1.5 m of quilt batting
• 2 small spools of matching thread
