Stay at an animal rescue ranch housing horses, goats, and donkeys while enjoying the beautiful Southwest. We’ll volunteer supporting the rescue mission, learn about desert flora and fauna, share our favorite plant-based recipes at the ranch and enjoy delights in local restaurants & with local plant-based fans. (The Tucson veg culinary scene is hoppin'!)
Other activities will be shaped by group interest, from live music to cooking lessons to gentle stretching/Yoga/Pilates. Our group will be 4-10 folks.

You'll be adventuring with me, Bridget Hardy, Wellness Coach and South Bend native.
I've taken 3 groups to Tucson; I've led several trips to Cuba. I was assistant leader of several Sierra Club backpacking trips in Arizona, New Mexico, and Utah in the 90s and early 2000s.
I lived in Tucson for roughly 5 years, enjoying lots of local hiking and culture. This historically-rich area of the Southwest is beautiful and unique and I look forward to being there with YOU.
"The trip was WONDERFUL! I had a great time and want to say THANK YOU to our guides and all my fellow travelers for the big and fast desert adventure. I loved hearing the coyotes every night; seeing the dark sky brilliant with stars; walking around outside the ranch looking at cactus and birds; listening to the Mariachi band; feeding the horses with Kalvin and Liz; sharing food, laughs, stories, and some morning thoughts with all of you."
-Mary Beth Dickey, March 2022 Trip Participant
