"Run For It is a fundraising program created by the Tucker Community Foundation in 2007 that promotes healthy activities while raising awareness and much-needed support for nonprofit organizations, civic groups, and charities across our ten county service area. The 2026 campaign kicks off on April 1, leading to a 2k walk and a 5k walk/run on September 26 during the Leaf Peepers Festival in Davis, WV. It is essential for teams to raise funds during the six-month fundraising campaign, as half of the entry fees, along with all sponsorship and award donations collected, directly benefit the chosen causes. The program supports a diverse range of initiatives, including arts, animal welfare, education, and community improvement, and also serves as a networking opportunity for organizations in our region and beyond."
