Mikołaj Trzaska – muzyk, którego polskiej publiczności nie trzeba przedstawiać – łączy siły z trzema czołowymi postaciami węgierskiej sceny muzyki awangardowej i improwizowanej: Péterem Ajtaiem, Ádámem Czitromem oraz Áronem Portelekim. Choć fundamentem twórczości kwartetu jest swobodna improwizacja i współczesny jazz, zespół czerpie również inspiracje z szerokiego wachlarza tradycji ludowych. Wpływy muzyki wschodnioeuropejskiej, bałkańskiej, żydowskiej czy węgierskiej nie pojawiają się tu w formie cytatów, lecz stanowią naturalny element wspólnego języka muzycznego grupy.Niedawno kwartet nagrał nowy album wspólnie z zespołem Qiyan, którego premiera zaplanowana jest na najbliższy czas. Ta współpraca stanowi odzwierciedlenie otwartości, ciekawości oraz ducha odkrywania – wartości, które definiują twórczość tej grupy.

Mikołaj Trzaska, a musician who needs little introduction to Polish audiences, joins forces with three of the leading figures of the Hungarian avant-garde and improvised music scene: Péter Ajtai, Ádám Czitrom and Áron Porteleki. Rooted in free improvisation and contemporary jazz, the quartet also draws inspiration from a wide range of folk traditions. Eastern European, Balkan, Jewish and Hungarian musical influences are present not as quotations, but as a natural part of the group’s shared musical language.
Their music is at once raw and sensitive, dense and spacious, combining spontaneity, deep listening and a constantly evolving creative freedom.
The quartet recently recorded a new album together with the Qiyan ensemble, which is set for release in the near future. This collaboration reflects the openness, curiosity and spirit of exploration that define the group’s work.
