About this Event

Try the First Class Before Committing to the Full 6-Week Program

This Try-It-Out Session is the first class in a six-week Emotional Resilience program for teens ages 13–19.

It’s a chance for your teen to experience the program, meet the group, and see whether it feels like a good fit before committing to the remaining five weeks.

You can choose one of two registration options:

  • Paid Try-It-Out Ticket — $25 + GST and Eventbrite fees
If your teen decides to continue with the full program, the $25 class fee will be credited toward the remaining program cost.
  • Community Access Ticket — FREE
A limited number of complimentary trial spaces are available for families who need them. If your teen chooses to continue after the first class, the regular full-program fee will apply.

What Is the Program About?

This is not another school-style class.

The program is designed to help teens build emotional resilience, self-awareness, confidence and practical life skills in a way that feels engaging, relatable, fun, and age-appropriate.

Teens learn through:

  • Story: exploring the choices, challenges and experiences of characters in the transformational fiction novel Unplugging from the Game
  • Practical tools: using the Teen Workbook to connect those lessons to real-life stress, emotions, relationships and everyday challenges
  • Games, challenges and movement: keeping the sessions active, interactive and fun
  • Real connection: opportunities to talk, laugh, participate and build meaningful connections with other teens
  • A safe, supportive environment: teens are welcome to share anything they wish, but are never pressured to speak or disclose personal information

The goal is to give teens tools they can actually use — to better understand what’s happening inside them, manage emotions more effectively, respond instead of react, and feel more grounded in themselves.
